Triceratops Brow Horn
Attributed to Triceratops sp.
Late Cretaceous | Lance Formation, near New Castle, Wyoming, United States
An elongated fossil brow horn core with a gently sweeping profile and warm tan-brown coloration. Pronounced longitudinal grooves and scattered pits give the surface a richly textured appearance, while its tapering form lends the specimen a striking sculptural presence. Presented horizontally on a black metal display stand.
In life, the bony core supported an outer horn sheath, forming one of the distinctive brow horns of Triceratops, among the most recognizable dinosaurs of the Late Cretaceous.
Condition: Well preserved overall, with pronounced surface texture. Minor restoration, primarily confined to the tip. The basal end is incomplete, with visible fissures and localized surface wear.
Length: 16 inches
