Woolly Mammoth Tusk - 8'2"
$28,000.00 USD
This impressive 8’2” woolly mammoth tusk displays exceptional natural coloration, with striking blue-grey tones complemented by ivory white, beige, and rich earthy browns. Recovered from the permafrost of Yakutia, Russia, it belonged to a mammoth that roamed the northern tundra more than 20,000 years ago during the Late Pleistocene.
With its substantial size, elegant curvature, and remarkable preservation, this is a display-quality specimen suited to a museum, corporate collection, or sophisticated private interior. A custom-made stained oak stand highlights the tusk’s graceful form while providing a stable and attractive presentation.
All Fossil Realm mammoth tusks have been professionally stabilized and are intended for indoor display. To ensure long-term preservation, we recommend maintaining stable environmental conditions, ideally between 50% and 60% relative humidity and 68–78°F (20–26°C).
Unlike modern elephant ivory, fossil mammoth ivory can be identified by its distinctive Schreger line pattern and may be legally traded internationally, subject to local regulations.
