This Sikhote-Alin iron meteorite fell in Eastern Siberia, Russia on February 12, 1947, around 10:30 in the morning. It is estimated that over 100 tons showered the area! 

This particular meteorite displays beautiful regmaglypts, thumb-like implressions. It is flat on one side for easy display and has a fascinating bird-like shape.   

Measures 1.67 x 1.28 inches / 4.25 cm x 3.2 cm. Weighs 84 grams / 2.95 oz.
