These magnificent pyritized Harpoceras ammonite were found in the famous Holzmaden Shale near Stuttgart, in Germany.
This gorgeous specimen is a marvellous piece of natural, decorative art; it is sure to evoke an intense emotional response from any visitor.
They dates back to the Jurassic Period - 200 million years old! The smaller ammonites belong to a different species, Dactyloceras.
It has more than 50 small Dactyloceras ammonites preserved on the shale!
