Here is a phenomenal mesosiderite meteorite (end piece) of significant size (4.9 kg). Mesosiderites are a group of stony-iron meteorites composed of metal (nickel-iron) and silicate, in roughly equal parts.

This specimen was expertly cut and polished to reveal an array of metallic specks and silicate clasts; whereas, in contrast, the outer surface displays a beautiful textured appearance with a range of earthy tones. Much more impressive and beautiful in person!

A total of 80 kg of this rare meteorite has been recovered, mostly in much smaller pieces.

This specimen measures 12.5” x 8.25” x 1.5” and weighs 4.9kg / 10.8 lbs
