Extraordinary T. rex Tooth - 3.85 inches
This large (3.85”) and exceptional Tyrannosaurus rex tooth was discovered in the famed Hell Creek Formation, in Garfield County, Montana. Without a doubt it among the most beautiful T. rex teeth we have ever come across!
Much of the enamel is outstanding - glossy and well-preserved, with gorgeous beige and earthy brown color. One edge (distal) is sharply serrated, with most serrations in place. On the other edge, serrations are only present for about 1 inch towards tip. Substantial root etching is seen, as is common at this locality. Only a minor wear facet is visible at the tip of the tooth, which is overall in good condition.
An absolutely gorgeous tooth for avid collectors or institutions; T.rex teeth of this large size and fine quality are truly special and scarcely seen in today's market.
Riker-Style display case included (as shown).
