Lustrous Megalodon Tooth - 5.85"
$6,000.00 USD
West Java, Indonesia — Late Oligocene to Early Pleistocene (approx. 15.9–2.6 million years ago)
A superb megalodon tooth distinguished by its radiant golden bourlette and luminous, glassy enamel. Subtle beige and opaline tones transition toward red ochre and honey hues along the margins, the colours merging with remarkable harmony. Across the bourlette, a band of rich gold glows softly against the cooler enamel — a palette of rare sophistication.
The enamel’s high lustre and sharp serrations reveal exceptional preservation, while the symmetrical triangular form commands both presence and refinement. Recovered from terrestrial sediments of West Java, this specimen represents Otodus megalodon at its most sculptural and elegant.
Teeth combining such colour, lustre, and integrity are uncommon — an elegant showpiece for the discerning collector.
Mounted on a minimalist custom stand.
