Septarian Bear Sculpture - 6.25 inches

This piece is unavailable

This gorgeous bear sculpture was carved from a septarian nodule found in Utah, USA. Septarian nodules were formed as clay balls on the ocean floor during the Cretaceous period - 70 million years old. Over time, the balls cracked and were filled with minerals. The centre has beautiful crystals surrounded by a polished exterior. The brown lines are aragonite, the grey rock is limestone and the yellow mineral is calcite.

A beautiful decorator item!
