- This rare fossil lower leg bone comes from an Irish Elk (Megaloceros giganteus). It is a wonderful find from the bed of the North Sea in Holland and dates to 40 000 years old - the Pleistocene Epoch. This specimen is in very good condition. A beautiful and interesting vertebrate fossil for the price-point.
- Measures 20.5 inches (52 cm) in height, by 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) in width and is 3.7 inches thick (9.4 cm). It weighs 2.86 lbs (1.3 kg)
- Irish elk were majestic prehistoric creatures that had massive, imposing antlers. These were some of the largest deer that ever lived, standing feet tall at an imposing 7 feet tall at the shoulder!
