This beautiful polished sperm whale tooth was collected by divers in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The tooth belongs to the genus Scaldicetus. This whale swam ancient oceans during the Miocene, 16 - 25 million years ago. A gorgeous specimen. Present day sperm whales are known to dive to incredible depths and to feed on the giant squid.

Measures 5.6 inches / 14.4 cm long and 1.7 inches / 4.5 cm wide. Weighs 14.3 oz. / 404 grams.
