This phenomenal matched pair of curvy mammoth tusks is in impeccable condition - an unbelievable discovery from Southwest Siberia! True matched pairs (tusks from the same individual) are rarely found. Given their rarity and beauty (colour, curvature) these tusks are extremely desirable.

This gorgeous pair is ready to be displayed in your home, office or museum. Hand crafted oak stands showcase their beautiful shape and curvature.

The tusks comes from a woolly mammoth that trekked through the frozen tundra more than 20,000 years ago during the Late Pleistocene.

The natural coloration is a stunning mixture of golden and earthy brown.

Our mammoth tusks have been professionally stabilized; however, these specimens must be kept in an indoor environment with stable humidity and temperature. Ideal conditions are 50% to 60% humidity and 68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Fossil mammoth ivory can be distinguished from present-day elephant ivory by the angle of crosshatching (Schreger lines) and can be traded internationally.
