Complete Megalodon Tooth - 5.27 inches

This piece is unavailable

This incredible 5.67 inch fossil shark tooth (Carcharocles megalodon) is from Beaufort County, South Carolina. It's a well-preserved, complete tooth with super-sharp serrations, pointed tip, near-perfect root and killer overall shape. No restoration.

Megalodon was the largest predatory fish to ever swim the oceans. Scientists estimate that Megalodon measured 10 feet for every inch of shark tooth length. This monster probably measured 50 feet long!

Astonishingly, Megalodon bite marks have been found in whale bones.

Age: Miocene Epoch, 23 - 5.3 to million years old.

This tooth measures precisely 5.27 inches long at largest slant and 4.08 inches wide. Weighs 308 grams (0.68 lbs.).

Wood and brass display stand included.
