  • This absolutely gigantic fossil shark tooth (Carcharocles megalodon) is from South Carolina. Comparable teeth are almost impossible to find. It's a rare, collector fossil because of its size, completeness and quality; the enamel coverage and razor sharp serrations are highly noteworthy, as well as the pointed tip.   • Megalodon was the largest predatory fish to ever swim the oceans. Astonishingly, Megalodon bite marks have been found in whale bones. Scientists estimate that Megalodon measured 10 feet for every inch of shark tooth length. This monster probably measured well over 50 feet long! Age: Miocene, 16 - 25 million years old. Found in the Morgan River, Beaufort County, South Carolina, USA.
