This gorgeous, polished malachite egg comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A wonderful gift for mineral-lovers! Malachite is a bright and dark green banded copper carbonate mineral Cu2CO3(OH)2. From antiquity and until recent times, malachite has been prized as a decorative stone, gemstone, and was even used as a pigment.

The hight of this egg is 3.2 inches or 8 cm, and the with is 2.5 inches or 6.5 cm, and it weight 1 lb 4 oz or 555 grams.
