Here is an incredible, rare woolly mammoth upper jaw section with a large molar (M3). This amazing fossil was dredged from the bed of the North Sea in Holland - a world famous location for Ice Ae (Pleistocene) megafauna fossils, including Wooly Rhino, giant Irish Elk, and other marvellous prehistoric mammals. This specimen is immensely valuable because mammoth teeth in jaw sections are much rarer than loose teeth.

Entire piece Measures 17 inches long x 13.5 inches wide x 12.5 inches high. Tooth measures 7 5/8 inches long x 3.5 inches wide. Weighs 13 kg.

Interestingly, the Wooly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius) had 6 sets of teeth throughout its lifetime, which were progressively larger. They are designated as P2, P3, and P4, and M1, M2, M3.
