Huge Serrated Megalodon Tooth - 5.85 inches

$950.00 USD

Inventory quantity available: 1
  • This massive fossil shark tooth (Carcharocles megalodon) is an outstanding specimen because of its impressive size (5.85" long and 4.83" wide) and sharp serrations. Slight imperfections include a nick at the tip and a bit of enamel peel. Other than that it is a gorgeous tooth, very complete (some of the bourrelet still present), with killer shape!
  • This tooth has no restoration.
  • Beaufort County, South Carolina, USA
  • Hawthorn Formation: 3 - 7 million years old
  • Megalodon was the largest predatory fish to ever swim the oceans. Astonishingly, Megalodon bite marks have been found in whale bones. Scientists estimate that Megalodon measured 10 feet for every inch of shark tooth length.
  • Measures precisely 5.85 inches along longest slant; 5.44 inches along second slant; 4.83 inches wide; and it weighs 365 grams.
  • Please select option (1) without the stand, or (2) with the stand ($35 extra)
